According to the treatment service, his stay was uneventful, even pleasant. He spent a lot of time on the upper shelf in his cage so that he could watch the goings-on around him, but was friendly with the staff and would come down to face-mark their hands and get petted. He ate and drank well while he was there, too.
He's still slightly radioactive, so we'll be following the same precautions as last time: washing our hands after petting him (buy stock in soap manufacturers now!), using a flushable litter instead of one that gets put in the trash, and shutting him in the basement at night. It's saddening having to lock him away, but it's still nice to have him home again.
