Assembling quotation collections is fun for several different reasons. One reason is that they provide a good excuse to carefully re-read an author's complete body of work. Another reason is simply the sheer acquisitive pleasure of watching the Web pages multiply and the XML files grow.
Some subjects and authors that I plan to cover in the future are:
- Peter Milligan's Shade: The Changing Man comic.
- Addison and Steele's The Spectator.
- Gibbon's Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire.
I have no idea when I'll actually begin working on any of these, but my usual policy is to finish one file before beginning another.
